Germany is a country that leads the fourth industrial revolution through the manufacture innovation policy called 'Industry 4.0'. Changwon City is exploring to find out the direction for development of Changwon Smart Industry Complex as well as manufacture innovation that is relevant to Changwon City in order to establish Gyeongsangnam-do Smart Factory and Smart Industrial Complex.
In June last year, Central opened ‘the European Research Center’ to improve technologies and reinforce quality and capacity of products of Central in collaboration with research centers and companies in Germany which is a home for automobiles. On October 17, a group of representatives led by ‘Grüttemeier’ from Aachen City Region, Germany visited Gyeongsangnam-do to review whether it is possible to additionally increase support for companies in Gyeongsangnam-do and identify the needs of the companies.
The representatives led by ‘Grüttemeier’ from Aachen City Region visited Central Factory and Research Center in Changwon to share manufacture environment of Central and innovative factory examples.
It is said that the visiting group could see that Central was ceaselessly moving forward to make the best technologies. It is hoped that Central-Gyeongsangnam-do-Aachen City Region of Germany can work together to derive the good results continuously based on this experience.
