Creative Thinking from Movie 18-10-08

A special lecture titled ‘Creative Thinking from Movie’ was carried out by Lee Seung Jae, film critic, on September 18 at Changwon Football Center. This was a time to examine the communication, innovation and challenging cases through film and to consider the plan for creative thinking that opens a new era. The lecture began with a story on creativeness with imagination and passion through a story on the master director and best actor who led the 10 million viewers.

Film critic Lee Seung Jae said that “the common factors of Korean film that had more than 10 million viewers such as “<Taegukgi>, <Haeundai >, <Kukjesijang> and <Myeongryang> are that they were strategically planned from the scenario preparation stage. They read mind of people, evoked sympathy of many regardless of sex, age, income and region and made ceaseless communication with viewers. " and advised that the law of success is to read the mind of viewers, i.e. the mind of customers.

And he introduced some cases such as the direction of James Cameron who directed <Avatar> as he restricted technical factors of 3D so that people may focus on the story itself, which is essence of the movie and the challenge of George Miller who is famous for <Mad Max> series to a totally different genre like <Happy Feet’, a children movie. He said that the new challenge is a destiny of creativeness and advised members of Central to have courage to challenge to new areas at all times.
